2016 RMGA Member-Guest Championship

August 25, 26 & 27, 2016

Registration ends Wednesday, August 17^th at Noon

 

Format:

This is our chance to showcase Reunion Country Club and allow our Member’s and their Guests to enjoy the RMGA premier event of the year. 2 man teams will compete in flights using a match play point format. Each flight winner and one wildcard team will continue to the final Shootout to determine the 2016 Member-Guest Champion.

Entry Fee: $550 per team

Food and Beverage
This year all Beer, House Wine, House Liquor and Soft Drinks will be Complimentary for the entire event.  The event begins Thursday at: 4:00 PM and ends Saturday at 11:00 PM.  This includes on course and dinner with your spouse.

Practice Round

Course will be open Monday through Thursday for each team to play a complimentary practice round with your guest. Each team will be responsible to schedule your tee time with the golf shop.

Thursday August 25

5pm – Teams will register and choose their tee gifts sponsored by Titleist and Heritage

Par 3 Challenge – Tee times begin around 6:00pm. Course will be set up by the clubhouse to challenge the skills of each of the players.  Awards will be presented to Low Gross Team

BBQ and Drinks to follow the Par 3 at the Clubhouse

Corn Hole Tournament will follow BBQ and Awards of the Par 3 Event

Friday August 26

Biscuits and Bloody Mary bar will be included prior to tee times.

Tee times will start at 8:00 AM. Each team will play three 9-hole match play games against the teams in their flight.

There will be a cookout lunch available during your round.
Light Apps available during scoring

Saturday August 27

Biscuits and Bloody Mary bar will be included prior to tee times.

Tee times will start at 8am. Each team will play two 9-hole match play games against the remaining teams in their flight.

A deli buffet will be served while the final scores are posted.

Tournament Shootout

The teams with the most points after the five matches in each flight will compete against the other flight winners and one wildcard team in the Shootout Match. The teams will play a modified alternate shot match with teams eliminated after each hole until we determine the 2016 Member-Guest Champion.

Saturday Evening Member-Guest Banquet for Golfers and their Spouse

6:30 PM – Happy Hour and Appetizers
7:00 PM - Dinner will be served for each player and their spouse / significant other.
A full dinner meal will be served by Reunion Country Club and the friendly staff of Reunion Hall.

DJ will be from 7:00 – 10:30 for all your Dancing and Listening.

Awards Ceremony

Prizes for the Par 3 challenge, Corn Hole Champion and Closest-to-the-Hole participants will be presented on Saturday evening. 

Trophies and Awards will be presented to each of the flight winners, Runner-Up and Championship Team.

Rules:

Play will be governed by USGA rules. All players must have a valid USGA Handicap to participate. Match scores will be calculated utilizing 80% of the player’s course handicap.

The teams will be seeded in flights of six teams each based on 80% of their teams combined USGA handicap. Maximum points per match will be worth 7 points. There will not be any points awarded for winning the match.  Teams with a differential of more than 10 shots will have additional adjustment to handicap in accordance to USGA.

Prizes: Trophies will be presented to the flight winners and the 2016 Member-Guest Champion

All RMGA Cup points and prizes are in play for this event.

Additional Cash Games

Winners Pool

$50 per player for prizes awarded to wildcard team, flight winners, runner up and champions team.

Closest to the Hole

$20 entry fee for the closest to the hole contest on the tournament days. (excludes Par 3 Challenge) This will give each player a chance to win some additional prizes. After the final match is played up to 13 players that won the closest to the hole will have a shoot out on the 18^th green. Each player will have two shots at the green and the player that finishes closest to the hole will win the Grand Prize.
